Assassin’s Creed II picks off well after the first installment by bringing in stronger interactive non players and relative AI, more explorable environments and obviously better graphics. Looking at over 2 years of development, technology has been fully exploited for the better in this sequel while we wait for the anxious sequel Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood set for release in November 2010.
Although the Sony PS and Xbox versions of the game released in late 2009 with 91% aggregate ratings, the Microsoft Windows version scored an amiable 85% as well, proving that Assassin’s Creed II does have what it takes to be a great third person action adventure gaming experience.
The storyline is some of the best to found with game franchises; our hero from the first act, Desmond Miles escapes form Abstergo Industries and finds himself entering a more powerful machine than the original with the Animus 2.0. He’s forced to relive the genetic memories of his ancestor Ezio Auditore Da Firenze in 15th century Renaissance Italy; and as the Assassin Ezio, the player can explore the religion, cities, history and find the reason his father and brother were murdered. With puzzles and the Codex of Altair mixing in with a young Leonardo Da Vinci and his wizardry, Assassin’s Creed II is just as stimulating as it is interactive. Higher AI and more realistic characterization make this game a big hit for all serious gamers.
Looking at the visualization and game sequences, you’ll find yourself diving deeper into 15th Century Italy, with exploring the cities, historical facts and fantasy, music as well as an addictive adventure. Overall, historically accurate and consuming the gamer with reality-like environment, this game ensures enthralling experiences. Not to go too deep into the game’s secrets you should worthily get to learn by sincere gaming; one vital peep can given – this time the villain’s a Pope and the battlefield’s more realistic.
Judging by the story, you could already possibly grasp the intensity of such gameplay and how it will take you for a thrilling adventure. But when we speak of the technicalities of this game, developers Ubisoft Montreal have outdone themselves. From the downloadable additions like the Battle of Forli to sound multiplayer and hardware profiles; Assassin’s Creed II is a treat for any avid gamer. The PC version of the game does have a few glitches in multiplayer, but the PS3 and Xbox versions of the game come flawlessly arrayed. With a White and Black special edition having some background changes and added levels, it’s all the more exciting in ensuring you’ve gone over the entire layout and offerings of this game.
The music of the game is equally addictive; as you will find the renaissance in 15th Century Italy was quite the classic nostalgia. With a 35-piece string ensemble and a 13 member choir, released on November 16th 2009, the OST Assassin’s Creed II is already a market winner.
Looking at the Xbox version of this game, the market has given it a 5 star ovation. A 9/10 rating and the immense fan response has proven that this new version by far outdoes the fair success of the first from the Franchise. With the sequel due in November, fans are rushing to finish off the tediously detailed yet calling and long drawn sequences of Assassin’s Creed II, getting prepared for the next part of the unveiling. A must play for action and adventure gamers.
