Hardly a year has passed since release of Sims 3 and now the second add-on of the series has been released which is The Sims 3: Ambitions. The Sims 1 and Sims 2 gave players a new way of understanding work whereas The Sims Ambitions goes far beyond careers of virtual fellows. With this add-on part, you will actively participate in their work instead of sitting at screen watching the Sims. Sims Ambitions simply enhances the time to time game play and allow you fun in refreshing ways.

In the previous versions of Sims, you were supposed to send your computer people to work and watch yourself earn Simoleans by doing unseen tasks in an unseen work environment. Sims 3 ambitions allows you the addition of professions and with this, the daily tasks are integrated into the lives of Sims. You are now sent to town to accomplish different tasks and this expansion adds goodies to game that range from new hobbies to new public lots. The most popular way of enhancing the game with Sims 3 ambitions is with the introduction of professions. With these professions, you are given tasks that you have to perform during your workdays to earn Simoleans.  You can opt to be a ghost catcher and can work to catch ghosts in your vacuum catcher or you can become an investigator. The assignments are fun and you interview clients and start with your simple investigations. As time passes, you start the great work such as finding fingerprints, hacking computers and writing police reports. Apart from these professions, you can be an architect, stylist, firefighter and even more. What ever career you choose, you perform work like people do in real life and meet clients and complete your objectives to earn simoleans.

Sims 3 also lets you earn more freely and you can self-employ yourself to take advantage of the Sims3 economy. You can do labor to make your living. You could sell off fruits and indulge in different hobbies such as inventing and sculpting.

These different hobbies and professions come with a number of new animations and sound effects that make your mood even better. All the sound effects given to the game are exactly matching the work what you are doing. Watching your sim completing its professional tasks is a real fun. The music effects are great and go superb with the working environments. The Ghostbusters’s type of music when you are hunting for ghosts and that suspense music when you are working as detective amazingly suits the gaming environments.

Though the game is a nice one but there are some technical problems as well. There are some Lingering glitches in the game including some new problems as well and the game is not substantial as its previous expansion.

Sims 3 Ambitions is a really great addition to the Sims gaming family. Though there are a few of technical problems but still, playing the game with all the additional tasks that you can do makes it real fun for gamers.
